Marathi Cuisine

 Maharashtra is the state of India located in Western region. The people speak ‘Marathi’ language; and so is their cuisine known as. It has coastal region on the west where meal consists mainly of fresh coconut, rice, pulses and non-vegetarian cuisine is based on sea-food. The plateau region on the east has staple food consisting of wheat,sorghum, millet where peanuts replace coconut. Non vegetarian food consists of curries of goat and chicken. Most of the vegetarian curries are made of pulses, fresh vegetables and sprouts’ curries are flavoured with roasted mix of spices called Goda Masala a speciality of this region.Still different regions of Maharashtra have their own speciality with its great taste
